About

I Make Learning Work For Everyone — And Getting There Fast.

I'm an Instructional Designer II on the University of Florida's Training & Organizational Development team, where I design accessible learning for tens of thousands of faculty and staff and help lead our accessibility and AI efforts.

My specialty found me. When Florida mandated WCAG 2.2 AA for every online resource, our team faced roughly a thousand inaccessible instruction guides and a hard deadline. Instead of grinding through them by hand, I built an AI-and-Python pipeline that converted 800+ of them, wrote macros that standardized our styling, created a Copilot agent that generates accessible guides from scratch, built an alt-text agent the team uses daily, and shipped a search index that makes 1,500+ documents findable. Along the way I earned the DHS Trusted Tester certification and the full DHS accessible-authoring series.

The throughline is how I work: I think in systems — automate the repeatable, encode standards into rules, and keep humans in the loop for judgment. I pair that with the fundamentals of good instructional design — real needs analysis, backward design, action mapping, and close collaboration with subject-matter experts — so the output is fast and genuinely useful. Right now I'm leading finance-track training for UF's Workday rollout: 67 deliverables across six pods, all built to the same standard.

Before UF, I led course redesigns and built BYU Online's student resource library. I hold an MS in Instructional Psychology & Technology and a BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University. I care most about one thing: that learning works for everyone, and that getting there doesn't have to be slow.

Brady joined our team and within weeks demonstrated the competencies of a senior member. He has designed numerous training including, but not limited to, asset management, university funding structures, travel compliance, helped plan large scale in-person training events for business administrators, and rapidly developed courses and instruction guides for an enterprise-wide implementation of Workday. All training courses and guides were delivered with a clean precision with the learner at the center of the design. Beyond his assigned work, Brady innovated in ways that changed the work of our entire team. He dived deeply into automation using coding and AI to take our practice into modernity. When our team had to remediate near 1,000 instruction guides in a short amount of time, Brady developed a macro that set up our team's agreed upon styles and saved us countless hours. He made an AI-powered index that helped us find the old guides when needed to reconcile an issue with the new guide. Very quickly, Brady became the go-to and resident expert on all things AI, coding, and WCAG accessibility standards and acted as an in-house consultant to top human resource leaders. He is earnest and high performing and it is with much confidence that I recommend Brady Allred.

I have had the opportunity to work closely with Brady, and he has been an outstanding coworker and collaborator. One thing that consistently stands out is his commitment to accessibility and inclusive design. Whether the conversation involves ADA compliance, Section 508, or WCAG standards, he always goes beyond simply meeting requirements and focuses on creating experiences that truly work for both neurodivergent and neurotypical users. He is generous with his knowledge and always willing to help others better understand accessibility, instructional design, and emerging tools. I have especially appreciated how he explores practical uses of AI to streamline workflows and make work more efficient for instructional designers without losing sight of quality or learner experience. I highly recommend him for any opportunity related to instructional design, accessibility remediation, learning experience design, or digital accessibility work.

I highly recommend my colleague, Brady Allred, for any instructional design or WCAG/ADA remediation role. He has been an invaluable contributor to our Workday systems implementation project, where he consistently demonstrated innovation, efficiency, and a strong commitment to high-quality learning solutions. He is an exceptionally fast and effective course developer who leverages technology and AI tools to enhance both the quality and efficiency of his work. One notable example was his leadership in helping revamp our ADA remediation process to align with WCAG accessibility requirements. He developed a script that significantly accelerated the remediation workflow, saving time while improving consistency and compliance. In addition, he created clear and practical guides for remediating online courses in Articulate, which became valuable resources for the team. His professionalism, creativity, and strong work ethic make him an outstanding instructional designer and a tremendous asset to any team.

I am delighted to recommend Brady Allred. Since joining our team, he has consistently delivered high-impact, innovative solutions and shown an unwavering commitment to accessibility. He developed automated macros that standardized ADA-compliant styling across the department, published three key online courses while leading the transition from ILT to OLT, integrated UF Navigator AI and Python scripts to automate ADA conversion for hundreds of resources, and built a custom AI agent for alt text generation. He managed simultaneous updates for four major courses and coordinated Workday business process capture across five pods. Brady combines technical prowess with clear communication and a collaborative spirit, and readily takes on new responsibilities. His record of driving accessibility, streamlining training, and leading cross-functional initiatives makes him an outstanding candidate for any position that values innovation and customer focus.

Brady is an exceptional team player who consistently brings passion for learning and innovation to every challenge our instructional design team faces. His impact was especially evident when we discovered that our entire suite of instructional guides was inaccessible. Brady played a key role in developing and finalizing a standard operating procedure for the team, and took the initiative to implement AI-driven solutions, creating tools to efficiently format and style Word documents converted from PDFs. On the Workday implementation project, Brady has demonstrated remarkable organizational and leadership skills while juggling multiple subject-area pods. His work is instrumental in preparing tens of thousands of employees for a major institutional transition. Brady is truly an invaluable asset to our team.

Brady is a critical thinker and played an essential role in transforming digital content for University of Florida HR to ADA/WCAG standards. Brady created a Python script that everyone on the team could follow to ensure appropriate styles were being used on all new digital content. He excelled in creating digital content that was aesthetically pleasing and easy to follow, and built templates for complex design features that the whole team could use. Brady was the team member we would go to to solve complex issues regarding digital content. His skill set and vast knowledge would make him a great benefit to any team.
