Accessibility Statement
Accessibility is the point of this site, so it's built to the standard it talks about.
Conformance Target
This site is designed and built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the principles of Section 508. It is a personal portfolio and is maintained by Brady Allred.
What's In Place
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), one
h1per page, and a logical heading order. - A visible skip-to-content link and a keyboard-operable navigation menu (with
aria-expandedand Escape-to-close). - Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, and a filter control set on the Work page that exposes state with
aria-pressedand anaria-liveresults count. - Color contrast that meets or exceeds AA across the palette (body text exceeds 15:1 on the page background).
- Full support for
prefers-reduced-motion: all entrance animations and transitions are disabled when reduced motion is requested. - Responsive, zoomable layouts that reflow to 320px and remain usable at 200% text zoom.
- Text alternatives for all meaningful non-text content.
- The site is fully functional without JavaScript; scripting only enhances.
Known Limitations
Project hero visuals currently use accessible, labelled placeholder tiles; as real screenshots are added, each will keep descriptive alt text. If you find anything that doesn't meet the bar above, I want to know.
